幼い頃家にあったナット・キング・コールやルイ・アームストロングのレコードを聴いてジャズ に慣れ親しむ。バークリー音楽院を卒業後、東京に戻りR&BやHipHopなどクラブ系音楽のトラックメイカーとして活動。同時に学生時代より傾倒していたブラジル音楽に吸い寄せられるようにリオ・ デ・ジャネイロへ渡り、ホベルト・メネスカル、ジョアン・ドナートらと共演。ドイツのDJモノフォニック、ルーマニアのエレクトリック・ブラザーら様々な国のクリエイターとのコラボレーションを行う他、テレビCM音楽制作、ラジオ番組音楽、コンピレーションCD制作と幅広い音楽制作を行なっている。ジャズ・ディレクターとしてアル・ディ・メオラやエディ・ゴメス、リオーネル・ルエケら多くのミュージシャンと原盤制作を行ない、数多くのジャズやブラジル音楽の名盤リイシュー企画を監修している。

Hide met Jazz music when he was a little boy. his mother had three Jazz albums ~ Nat King Cole, Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra ~ these three Jazz albums were his best friends he ever met. After graduated at Berklee Collage of Music in Boston,MA, headed to Tokyo again. then worked for top Japanese R&B / HipHop musicians. on the other hand, he headed to Rio de Janeiro in Brasil. played with Joao Donato, Roberto Menescal, worked with Marcos Valle and other legendary Brasilian artists. he also collaborated with DJ Monophonic (Germany), Electric Brother (Rumania),Sergil Pi (Brasil) and other great DJ, singers. he also worked for TV-CM music and Radio music, compilation CD produced...
He has a many career of recording dirctor, worked with Al DiMeola, Eddie Gomez, Lionel Roueke and many Jazz giants. Also he is the master of vintage Jazz records, supervised many Jazz and Brasilian music reissue projects.
